Aditus is committed to consumer choice. We fully endorse and encourage consumer choice in all program decisions and believe that consumer choice is the promotion and acceptance of the capacity of people with disabilities to exercise choice and make meaningful decisions in their lives to the same degree as people without disabilities. We encourage individuals and their families/guardians to; (1) speak for themselves (2) initiate ideas, (3) have choices, (4) make decisions about supports. We know firsthand that successful employment services demonstrate an atmosphere of respect for the individual’s experience, interests, and a belief that meaningful job training and employment are critical elements in a person’s participation in life.
